He studied classical organ, piano, and synthesizer before going to Indiana University where he was the youngest student accepted into their graduate-level electronic music program. During the 80s he was active in the club and casino scene in Philadelphia and Atlantic City where he was fortunate to work on stage and in the studio with Keith Benson, executive producer of "Standing In The Shadows Of Motown," Ken studied voice in NYC with vocal coach Marty Lawrence, known for his work with Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin. He moved to Nashville in 1988 and was hired by jazz singer Jane Powell to produce her album and tour. After taking time off to complete his degree at Belmont University, he began touring as a side man for country artists. Ken has played for Joe Diffie, Mark Chesnutt, Tracy Lawrence, Paul Brandt, Jo-El Sonnier, Steve Holy and Clay Davidson. He appears on the Grammy-nominated album from Jo-El Sonnier, "Cajun Blood," and three albums from Joe Diffie. Ken is proud to have played many times on Grand Ole Opry broadcasts from the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry house in Nashville.
In 2005 Ken was asked by Moog Music to play the Minimoog Voyager at the memorial celebration of Bob Moog, the inventor of the Moog Synthesizer. In 2006 Moog Music asked Ken to create a short "Moment of Moog," a 20-second electronic music composition that was broadcast around the world to commemorate the one year anniversary of Moog's passing. Ken is also one of many design consultants for the flagship Moog One polyphonic synthesizer.
Since coming off the road in 2008, Ken's focus has been on synthesizers and feeding cats.
